Melissa Ohlson, MS, RD obtained her Master of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. As a registered dietitian, she worked over 14 years at the world renown Cleveland Clinic in Preventive Cardiology & Rehabilitation. She co-owned a nutrition energy bites company and has her own private practice nutrition business. Melissa leads our practice with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

JENNIFER WOOLF CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER
Jennifer Woolf received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota, in 2005. She is a compassionate Registered Nurse with 20 years of experience in orthopedics, trauma, home health care, and nursing education, as well as 4 years in nursing management. She is committed to delivering the highest quality of patient care, focusing on holistic and patient-centered approaches, and fostering collaborative relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

ABBI GILLSON PATIENT REPRESENTATIVE/RECEPTION
Abbi is the friendly front desk representative here at Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Centers. Originally from North Canton, Ohio, she has called Charleston home for nearly two years. Abbi graduated from Ohio Dominican University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science while also playing on the volleyball team. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, exploring new foods, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and her cat, Enzo.

CINDY KESNER CLINICAL ASSISTANT
Cindy has over 35 years experience working in the medical laboratory setting. She obtained her phlebotomy certificate and has been drawing blood for over 20 years. Cindy has 5 awesome children who like to keep her on her toes. She loves being near the ocean and enjoys any activity that requires being outdoors.

HEATHER SNOOK CLINICAL ASSISTANT
Heather is a Charleston native and recent graduate of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry. She currently serves as a clinical assistant in our practice. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted chronic pain research in a neurobiology laboratory and is currently in the process of preparing her findings for publication. Additionally, she works as an Emergency Department Medical Scribe and plans to apply to medical school this cycle. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her dogs and playing her flute.
