Dr. Woolf performed meniscus surgery on my right knee. I knew what to expect because I had the other knee done by someone else several years ago. My experience with Dr. Woolf and his team was a 10 out of 10. The staff made scheduling and all interactions with them smooth and easy. Dr. Woolf performed the surgery perfectly and his bed-side manner and communication are outstanding.

Explaination of procedure and treatment was clear and done efficiently

As someone that has been in the hands of many surgeons, and as someone that has a very complicated case, Dr.Woolf was the first surgeon to assess my injury and tell me there may be another doctor better suited for my case. While at first I was sad because his bedside manner was incredible, it takes a humble person to say that perhaps I am out of their scope. As fate would have it, however, I would come to see him again for a different issues, and he has worked 3 separate miracles on me! I again was sad after learning he would be leaving MUSC, but as fate would have it AGAIN, I will be seeing him tomorrow for yet another issue. My family is so very grateful for him, and I would stand for him any day. He’s an incredible surgeon, and you will never be just a case number to him.

I can't thank Dr. Blake Ohlson and his team enough for the incredible results I experienced with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. After trying every recommended treatment—ice, rest, heat, TENS therapy, exercises, cortisone injections—nothing provided lasting relief. Surgery seemed like my only option.

The PRP injection itself was one of the most painful procedures I’ve undergone, similar to my original injury. However, within two weeks, I started noticing improvements, and my recovery continued for several months. Now, I can jog and participate in step classes—activities I thought I’d never be able to do again.

From the moment I checked it I felt comfortable . The entire staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Ohlson was fantastic, he knew exactly what was wrong and is taking care of it, he put me completely at ease.

One of the few practices in the area that treats you like a human being, not a number. Dr. Woolf and Dr. Ohlson each took over an hour with me during consultations and listened to my health history and injury details. They don’t just push surgery or medication like the major hospital networks in the area. Dr. Ohlson was able to help diagnose a nagging injury I’d had for months after no success with PT. Dr. Woolf helped me bounce back from a SLAP tear without surgery. The nurses and office assistants (shoutout to Cindy) were so kind and helpful! Highly recommend SMOCSC! Truly a local, heartfelt practice with two caring ortho doctors. These guys literally got me back on my feet. Thank you!

Dr. Blake Ohlson has been treating my arthritis in both feet with injections. If you have this problem you know how painful it can be. I can now tolerate my walking shoes and get more exercise for several months. I highly recommend that you consult Dr. Ohlson for your painful feet!

I brought my teenage son to see Dr. Olson for a knee cap and a shoulder injury from hockey. He went out of his way to come back into the office to see us after he had already gone home for the day! His treatment worked and my son was able to finish out his hockey season. He has great bedside manner and is a straight shooter. Thank you Dr. O!

I would highly recommend Dr. Ohlson! I was having excruciating pain in my leg, which I feared was a blood clot. After being bounced around from the emergency room to different providers, I sought out Dr. Ohlson. He was able to identify the cause of my pain was in a completely different body part and order the appropriate tests immediately. I am now on the road to recovery and so thankful for much-needed answers and relief. Dr. Ohlson's skill and knowledge are second to none.

Went today to see if I had a fracture and sure enough, I did! Everyone here is so nice and caring. You really won't wait long in the waiting room. They will have you back in a room in about 5 min or less. Dr. Ohlsen knows his stuff and won't rush you into surgery (unless absolutely necessary). He's got a great bedside manner that will put anyone at ease! Wonderful Doctor and Staff here.. Can't go wrong...

I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Ohlson and Jordan. I saw Dr. Ohlson after breaking my foot at the start of the summer. He supported me throughout my recovery, was always available if I had any questions and was very professional and kind. He took time to explain the complexities related to my injury and anticipated recovery time and how I could best recover. I never felt rushed at his office and always felt like I could reach out if I needed anything. Jordan at the front desk was always available as well, helping me with X-ray orders and scheduling questions. She’s incredibly approachable and always friendly. The office is run seamlessly and I couldn’t recommend them more. Hopefully I won’t break my foot again, but if I do I know I can trust Dr. Ohlson for my care.
